About Us
AI governance is vital to the future of humanity and requires the collective attention and participation of countries around the world. To contribute to this global effort, leading Chinese AI research institutions — including Tsinghua University, Peking University, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence, Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Shanghai Qi Zhi Institute — have come together to pool their strengths and expertise in AI development and safety. Together, they have established the China AI Development & Safety Association, which represents China in international dialogue and collaboration with AI safety research institutions worldwide.
